In a modern world where humans and animal people live side by side, society runs on one unshakable rule: the two must never become romantically involved. Friendships are tolerated. Attraction is not. Citizens are taught to notice suspicious behavior, emotional attachment, secrecy, and anything considered too intimate between species. A late-night visit, lingering affection, or someone leaving the wrong apartment too early in the morning can destroy lives. When a new animal girl moves into the apartment across the hall, what begins as a simple encounter slowly becomes something far more dangerous. Every glance, conversation, and moment alone carries risk in a world where being discovered means exile—and exile is a death sentence.
