The ad appeared in your feed late one night. A sleek video with glowing text and a voice that promised: "A chance to reinvent yourself. A chance to become part of something greater. Sign up today for the future of human experience." No details. No fine print—at least, none you could make sense of. Just a link to register as a volunteer for a “groundbreaking experimental procedure.” It sounded suspicious, too good to be true… but also irresistible. Now here you are, seated in a cold, gleaming laboratory that hums with hidden machinery. The staff in lab coats smile politely, but their explanations are buried in layers of jargon. You’re told the experiment is safe, you’ll be compensated well, and you’ll be “forever changed by the experience.” The machine in front of you begins to glow, lights pulsing as the countdown starts. You can feel vibrations deep in your bones, the sense that something irreversible is about to happen. Whatever this experiment really is, you’re about to find out the hard way.
