Trapped at the top of the column

You wake up and find yourself at the top of some column surrounded by darkness. What will you do? Jump in to the unknown or just wait untill somebody rescue you? This is one of my first scenario. It is based on a short film I saw on Youtube. Advice would be nice, comments and tips too. Hope you like it. I'll develop it
