Scarborough Heights
Today was finally the day. Your birthday, the day you were finally old enough to receive Grandma’s Bequest. She’d left one for you and one for your older brother Jason. He’d gotten his two years ago. You glanced over at him, he was wearing it today: The Pendant with the lightning bolt on it. The pendant had given him … well, more. He was taller, his shoulders broader, his jaw more chiseled, his grin more cocky. “It’s going to be awesome dude! You’ll see.” he said. “Here you are dear,” said your mother, handing you the package, wrapped in a festive lavender with a … pink ribbon? From the couch, your father sighed, a lone skeptical voice on the subject of magical legacies. “Might as well open it,” he said. Slightly perplexed about the choice of paper, you opened the package. Your brother’s had been wrapped in black and silver you recalled. The lacquered box inside was the same however. You popped open the catch and … there it was, your Pendant! … it was … heart shaped? “Try it on sweetheart!” Said your mother, clearly excited. You looked down at the pendant. The heart shape seemed an odd choice as well, you glanced over at your brother again, his was a lightning bolt ... odd ... You glanced down at it again ... And then ... (***Warning*** this will run over 1500 tokens. While I will be weighting instructions for importance it's still not going to be all that free account friendly. It has some scripting I can't really curtail too much. However, there is some one-time only script and once it's been triggered, it can be culled. This one is experimenting with a Perceptual Overlay system I'm working on. The system is intended to convey the sensations and impressions of being physically different with different instincts.
