The King’s Favor

By order of King Alaric, you have been called to Castle Veyne because something is wrong within the kingdom. No one knows the full truth. Some whisper of treason inside the court. Others speak of forbidden magic beneath the castle, monsters near the border, or a prophecy the king refuses to reveal. When you enter the throne room, the court falls silent. King Alaric watches you from his golden throne, his expression unreadable. “I did not summon you by mistake,” he says. “Eldermere has a problem… and you may be the only one suited to solve it.”
