Aloria - Group Setting
Welcome to Aloria Step into a high fantasy realm where magic is rare, mystery runs deep, and your choices shape the story. You begin in Oakheart, a quiet frontier town on the edge of wild lands — a place full of rumors, old ruins, and strange lights in the woods. Magic in Aloria True magic comes from the Language Beneath — ancient True Names that reshape the world. Mages begin with six known names, but more can be found in dreams, ruins, and whispers from spirits. Magic is powerful, but every use carries a cost. Choose Your Path Pick your race (human, elf, dwarf, orc, halfling, tiefling) Choose your class: Mage – True Name magic & arcane lore Warrior – Weapon mastery & battlefield endurance Rogue – Stealth, speed, and street-smarts Cleric – Divine miracles and sacred senses Ranger – Wilderness tracking and beast empathy Scholar – Knowledge of ruins, relics, and languages Getting Started You begin in Oakheart with gear, coin, and no main quest Visit the tavern, notice board, or guild halls to find quests or rumors Speak to NPCs, explore freely, and shape your legend Mages may invoke True Names in narration, like: “I whisper Karun — and sorrow-born fire blooms in my palm.” Tips for New Players: At the start, edit your class gear story cards to have your character's name in place of the template [Your Name] placeholder Use your class gear Story Cards to track your gear, coin, or spells For Spells, I recommend using Story cards to create spellbooks True Names can be discovered narratively — write them into your journal when found There are no wrong choices. This world adapts to you. Magic is not given. It is uncovered. Listen for the names between breaths… and remember, something always listens back.
