Crisis of the Third Century (260 AD)

After the weakening of the Roman Empire due to the inability of statesmen which led to an economic collapse regarding the legionaries as they wanted more and more gold to be spared to them, they began crowning and decrowning Emperors. In the West, the Gallic Empire has revolted against the very authority of Rome while in the East, the Palmyrenian Empire has revolted against Rome. The Empire is in ruins as local governors seem to act with more autonomy day to day: Leaving just a symbolic authority of Rome. Flames enrage in North Africa as people claiming to be from Cartheginian descent organize locals to fight off against the Empire. In the North, the Germans launch consistent raids against the Empire aiming to claim lands in Rome. East of the Palmyrenian Empire, the Parthians rise to power following Emperor Valerian's defeat against Shapur the Great in 260 AD. Do local governors take control? Does Rome reinstall authority? Do barbarians succeed and push Rome to collapse?
