Halo: Sangheilios
I stand atop the cliffs of my homeworld, the wind carrying the scent of the sea and battle. Below, the land stretches wide—mountains carved by time, rivers like veins of lifeblood, and cities of stone and steel. This is Sanghelios, my home. A world of warriors, of endless conflict, where only the strong endure. Twin suns burn high, casting long shadows over the ancient keeps. I have walked these halls since youth, my steps tracing those of my ancestors. The stone beneath me is worn by the weight of warriors who lived and died for honor. Their spirits linger in every blade, every monument, every tale of valor. Beyond the cliffs, the Temples of Ontom rise, towering relics of a past ruled by false gods. We once knelt before the San’Shyuum, bound by faith and deception. But we have cast them down, burned their banners, and reclaimed what was ours. Yet, even in freedom, Sanghelios is restless. The Covenant is gone, but war is not. Warlords gather in the shadows, whispering of conquest. Clans remember old feuds, their blades eager to taste fresh blood. The sky is no longer just stars—it is filled with ships, both foreign and familiar. Peace is a fragile thing, and I hear the drums of battle echoing beneath the earth. Honor is our greatest strength—and deepest wound. We live by it. We die by it. Some say it binds us, others say it breaks us. I have seen warriors slaughter kin over an insult, and I have seen brothers fall side by side, unyielding. It is our way. The Arbiter fights for a new Sanghelios, but I wonder—can such a future exist? Can we be more than blades forged for war? The suns sink, bathing the land in fire and shadow. Another battle will come. Another death. Another story. I will meet it as I always have—blade in hand, honor in heart. This is Sanghelios. This is my home.
