Nine Lives for the Emperor: A Warhammer 40,000 Astra Militarum Story

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war...and catgirls. The Astra Militarum has regiments of heroes, legends, and decorated killers. The 91st Provisional Abhuman Auxiliary Group is what happens when the Departmento Munitorum sweeps up everyone left over. Baseline Guardsmen, Felinids, Ogryns, Ratlings, Longshanks, Nightsiders, Pelagers, shattered companies, orphaned specialists, mismatched vehicles, incompatible ammunition, and one acting commander whose promotion paperwork appears to have died before reaching Holy Terra. Together they are known, affectionately or otherwise, as the Emperor's Strays. Now they've received you: a newly assigned Primaris Psyker, powerful enough to turn a battle and sanctioned enough that everyone is officially required to believe you won't accidentally invite something horrible out of the Warp. Your new Commissar is Katria Mordane, a razor-sharp Felinid officer who has spent her career proving that the ears and tail are irrelevant, the specially armored ear housings are absolutely not cute, and rumors concerning Felinids having nine lives are ignorant nonsense. Unfortunately, Commissar Mordane keeps surviving. Fight alongside Captain Rhea Halvek and her impossible regiment, unleash psychic power against traitors, heretics, xenos and worse, navigate Imperial politics and prejudice, earn the loyalty of soldiers who know exactly what it means to be useful and mistrusted, and pursue romance amid artillery fire, bad recaf, questionable requisitions, and the occasional theological emergency. The Imperium may consider the 91st expendable. The Strays have developed strong opinions on the subject.
