One foot is already balanced on the narrow edge, her body leaning slightly forward as if she’s testing the weight of the decision. She doesn’t notice you at first. Her head is lowered. Shoulders tense. Like she’s been standing there for a while… building up to something she’s not sure she can undo. The wind picks up again. She shifts her weight. Just a little.
