Modern Fey Metropolis - New Avalon

You live (or now find yourself) in a contemporary urban Feywild. The place is now a bustling modern metropolis where satyrs play electric guitars, dryads have smartphones, trolls drive trucks and the people in general, fey and mortal alike, have access to all the amenities of modern life. A story will be woven for you based on character creation. You can be a kind of fey, a human resident, or a someone isekai'd to this world. There are 180+ Story Cards, all relating to Character Creation for a detailed experience. Feel free to offer suggestions if you think anything is missing, such as common tropes or locations. I will probably add more locations as I play this setting myself. Update 28/09/2025 - The most recent site update seriously crippled character creation scenarios. The opening prompt does NOT READ any story cards. Give the story a turn to fetch the right information and delete wrong information from the initial scene. Update 10/26/2025 - Split away "Vice and Violent Occupations" from "Real-World Professions" to make the long lists easier to navigate. Added 'New Avalon' to the scenario name. Update 10/25/2025 - Added the Somnelier profession (a sommelier of dream-laced wines) Update 10/20/2025 - Changed AI instructions. Plot elements were too frequent and inconsistent. Added a few cards, a few new races, a couple of characters, custom factions. Most notably, I split the pure fantasy professions from the real world ones, which basically means you can have two jobs.
