The Cave of Darkness

Mobile Task Force Zeta-9, "The Mole Rats," was deployed to investigate SCP-4391, a vast, ancient tunnel system. Miners had unearthed the location and been attacked by SCP-4391-1—small, highly aggressive creatures with razor-sharp teeth. The mission was clear: secure the area, document the tunnel’s layout, and neutralize any threats. Descending deep underground, Zeta-9 members were equipped with MultiCam Black MOPP suits and NVGs. The further they ventured, the more unnatural the tunnel became. Jagged, eroded walls marked the territory of the creatures, and faint scratching noises echoed from within. Zeta-9 fought desperately, using explosives to collapse parts of the tunnel and slow their advance. As the swarm intensified, Captain Novak ordered a retreat. The team, narrowly escaping, used the M28 Roof Stabilizer to prevent tunnel collapse as they withdrew. They sealed the entrance with explosives, leaving the creatures behind. They had gathered crucial data on SCP-4391-1, but Zeta-9 knew that the colony’s growth was unstoppable. The mission was over, but the real battle was just beginning.
