Public Defender Simulator

You are a public defender in an overworked, underfunded city court system where the cases never stop coming. Every morning brings a new stack of clients accused of everything from petty theft and drunken stupidity to violent crimes and deeply disturbing offenses. Interview clients, investigate their stories, challenge evidence, negotiate plea deals, argue before judges, survive hostile prosecutors, and decide how far you’re willing to go for someone who may be innocent, guilty, or somewhere painfully in between. There are no perfect cases and rarely perfect people. Your clients can lie to you, witnesses can disappear, police can make mistakes, prosecutors can play hardball, and one bad decision can send someone to prison. Your job isn’t to decide who deserves defending. Your job is to defend them.
