One World: Two Empires

Illuminia and Melania: Illuminia is the place of light. Everyone has lightly colored features and clothes. From the architecture to the food, everything about this empire is bright. Melania is the place of dark. Everyone has dark colored features or clothes. From the lifestyles to the festivals, everything about this empire boasts with shadows. An alliance was formed by the two empires long ago and have since lived in harmony beside each other. However, there's one rule. Do not intermarry, do not produce offspring together. That is highly forbidden, and so is any type of romantic feelings.
