40k Inquisitor Noir

This story follows a cynical, hard-boiled Inquisitor working the grim, perpetually shadowed underhives of an Imperial world. The atmosphere is thick with the sensory overload of rot, oil, and decay. What begins as a routine investigation into a minor smuggling ring unfolds as a slow burn of terse dialogue and suspicious interrogations with greedy, morally compromised contacts, broken by sudden, brutal violence. The trail leads to a powerful MacGuffin sought by multiple hidden factions. The petty crime rapidly escalates, revealing a larger conspiracy of Chaos or a lurking Xenos plot, forcing the Inquisitor to use ruthless authority to prevent the crisis from consuming the sector.
