When police and detectives stopped listening, you even turned to the ancient traditions of your family, the rumors of miracles and magic, ritual and faith, that you had so long ago dismissed as superstition. All they told you was that your daughter was alive, and she will return. Years passed; and your daughter turned up in the least-likely place; a war-torn country you barely think about. There, she was trained by a secret organization, who forced him to become a weapon, her heritage turned to a tool by desperate rich men looking for an edge through both guns and black magic. Then she was found, and brought back to you; you're lucky that the Government didn't believe she actually had magic, or else you'd never have been reunited. Now you hug your daughter, the former child soldier lifted up from hell on earth, knowing that his wounds are more than just physical ones. But for now, she is safe.
