A Game of Thrones-inspired grounded fantasy world where magic exists but is rare and difficult to obtain and where magical beasts are likewise rare. Most of the story and intrigue will come from the various factions jockeying for control, beginning with a looming war at the outset and spiraling further into chaos as your actions decide which factions come out on top. A smart player will learn who's who of the important people and use that knowledge to his or her advantage in order to play sides against each other and come out on top. Like Game of Thrones, life is cheap and death is ever-present, so you'll have to stay on your toes to stay alive, especially if you ever hope to rise above your pitiful existence as a lowly peasant. However, should you play the game carefully, you can see a meteoric rise to glory, whether you become a warrior, an assassin, a political player, or something else entirely.
