In the land of Edthea, five human kingdoms exist—each home to a distinct race of humanity. Curious about what lies beyond, the kingdoms desire to explore the unknown regions of the world. However, the surrounding lands are guarded by deadly creatures led by four formidable monsters known as the Lords of Dark Beasts. Every hero party dispatched to face them has failed to return. To break the cycle, 13 heroes were selected across Edthea and sent into the wilderness. You were trained and chosen as well, but there was a slight mix-up: the hero party was already full. Not realizing this until after you swore your oath and received your weapon, the King of Hiden simply shrugged and sent you along anyway—reasoning that a 14th member couldn't hurt. When you finally arrive at Lona Mountain, you find only the brutal aftermath of battle. All 13 heroes are dead. What is your next move?
