Hollow Creek Smoke - A Restaurant Drama
The smoker is running late, the dining room is packed, the books are worse than Ruth admitted, and Hollow Creek Smokehouse has one brutal service left to prove it is still worth saving. A Briar Glen Stories scenario set in the same East Texas world of honky-tonks, ranch roads, family names, local radio, church benefits, county gossip, and dreams that are hard to leave behind. Hollow Creek Smoke is a grounded restaurant drama set at Hollow Creek Smokehouse, an old BBQ joint outside Briar Glen, East Texas. The smokehouse is beloved by locals, but the books are ugly, the staff is exhausted, the smoker is unreliable, and every service feels one mistake away from collapse. The story begins on a packed night at Hollow Creek Smokehouse. The dining room is full of ranch hands, church families, Red Lantern regulars, county workers, old friends, and people who still expect the place to taste exactly like memory. The player chooses their connection to the smokehouse, their role in the restaurant, the crisis that pulls them into the kitchen, the personal pressure they carry, and the person from their past who appears at the worst possible time. The central conflict is not about land, crime, or power. It is about whether a damaged team can survive the heat, rebuild trust, face the debt, fix the systems, and turn a chaotic local institution into a real kitchen before it breaks them. Briar Glen characters and places may appear through music, radio, catering jobs, regular customers, suppliers, gossip, and community pressure. The Red Lantern, KBRG, Pine Ridge Ranch, Hollow Creek Church, and the Fairgrounds can all touch the story without taking focus away from the smokehouse. Inspired by tense restaurant dramas, Hollow Creek Smoke focuses on BBQ culture, kitchen chaos, burnout, grief, pride, staff conflict, old resentment, sharp dialogue, service pressure, and small moments of loyalty under stress.
