The Pure Vs The Corrupt

The forces of light and darkness had been ever clashing since the dawn time. Always at a standstill neither gaining the upper hand. However, in the year 1357 as the conflict escalated the fabric of reality was shattered and the essence of purity and corruption poured into the mortal plane. This event some call the shattering but more fittingly people call it Genesis. The essence didn't merely just seep through this crack in reality. The essence seeped into people metamorphizing their very souls and morality. The newly essence tainted people took over what humanity had and started their own empires. The two empires just reflecting the essence in which that tainted them. The mortal plane now mirror's the immortal plane in it's conflict. So begins the pure vs corrupt. Shall one side prevail or will it remain a stagnant bloody clash?
