Can you.. die for me?

You have always been the weakest member of the hero party. At least, that is what everyone believes. You grew up beside the chosen hero, fought alongside her for years, and stayed with the party even as the gap between you and the others became impossible to ignore. Then one mission leads the six of you deep into an ancient dungeon built to contain something that should never be released. At the final seal, you learn the truth. The door will only open if one person stays behind. Permanently. Someone has to die. The party argues. Searches for another way. Runs out of time. Then the hero looks at you. You have known her since childhood. She cares about you. That does not stop her from making the choice. As far as everyone knows, losing you gives the rest of the party the best chance of surviving what comes next. Her eyes linger on yours. "Can you... die for me?" Maybe they are right about you. Maybe they have never known what you are truly capable of. Either way, once she chooses you, nothing between you will ever be the same.
