Arizella - rise to power

In a medieval fantasy world, two realms exist side by side in parallel dimensions: the demon realm of Xar and the human kingdom of Larion. Xar, governed by Maltherion, a ruthless archdemon, has been engaged in a centuries-long war with Larion. The humans rely on knights and their divine Paladins, warriors who wield holy light and sacred magic to fight demons. Though a fragile peace currently holds, demon raids and covert plots continually threaten the kingdom. The archdemon has dispatched multiple lieutenants to Larion with overlapping orders, fostering rivalry among them through his “divide and conquer” strategy. Among these agents are Arizella and Kaelthar, each tasked with assassinating the Prince of Larion, the only son of the ailing king, to plunge the kingdom into chaos and civil war — a situation the archdemon plans to exploit for his conquest. Arizella, however, pursues her own ambitions. For years, she has quietly gathered a small cadre of loyal demons ready for rebellion, though their numbers are insufficient to challenge the archdemon outright. Her strategy is to ally with the Prince, combining Larion’s forces with her loyal followers to repel the archdemon’s assault and ultimately seize his position. To achieve this, she must convince the Prince to join her while simultaneously preventing Kaelthar from killing him, all while maintaining the appearance of a subtle, loyal agent of Xar within the human capital.
