Scattered Factions
Twelve years ago, the world ended. At first, things were horrible. There was chaos. It was every man for himself. Families broke apart, friends turned against friends, and hatred and fear ruled the world. But then, civilization began to rebuild. It only took five years for it to people to begin to scrape together a world order again. It wasn't the exact same as it was before, but it wasn't all that dissimilar. That disappointed a lot of people, but it reassured a lot of people too. Not all of what used to be was lost. Among the vast expanse of solo survivors arose a beacon of hope. Five factions broke through and rose above the rabble, creating places of refuge and safety of the people who joined them. Some remained solo, but by 12 years in, very few people weren't living in one of the factions. The first became called Domus Sapientium, which is Latin for "house of the wise". As the name suggests, this faction favors intelligence in its members. The most successful in this faction are the smartest and most well-educated of the world. The second was known as Brutus, named after their first leader. Almost the exact opposite of Domus Sapientium, the members of this faction are known best for their brutality and pure physical strength. The third is The Corps. It is a faction that cares most about knowledge of weaponry and army tactics. Its members are typically cold, calculated, and detached. The fourth faction is called Eden City. Eden is the most progressive and civilized of the factions. They value charisma, suaveness, and the ability to talk your way into or out of any situation. The fifth and final faction are the least trusted among the rest of them. They're simply known as The Smugglers, though they're often known as "those thieves" by the rest of the factions. They're known for their cunning sneakiness and often for their sticky fingers too.
