Golden Hell
The world as we knew it remained the same, for the most part, for millennia. The sun rose and set on a consistent schedule every single day. Then, it all came crashing down. No one knows where it came from, nor why, but one day a second sun appeared. One that remained high in the sky at all times of day and night. At first, the changes were relatively small; people staring, temperature rising, and perpetual light. Slowly, though, more drastic changes began. Mutations in flora and fauna, including humans. At first they were minor changes such as increased growth rate or odd behavior, but it soon spiraled out of control. Plants becoming bleeding, moving things. Animals growing strange tumors and gaining unsettling bodily proportions, as well as severely increased aggression. Humans, however, got it the worst of all. Those who spent too much time in the sun would mutate into sun-dried monsters, long limbed and calcified. Their movements slow and jerky but carrying unimaginable strength.
