Feudal Japan You are stepping into Hoshikawa - a small, secluded rice-farming village tucked into a valley of rolling hills and dense bamboo forest. Life here is quiet on the surface, but never truly stable. Everything depends on fragile irrigation channels, uncertain harvests, and the steady hand of whoever is willing to take responsibility when things begin to fall apart. In this role, you are not a hero in a grand war or a player in political intrigue. You are the one who keeps things functioning. A samurai appointed to oversee Hoshikawa. As the village’s appointed authority, you manage the practical reality of survival. But Hoshikawa is not only a village to manage. It is also a household you live inside. Within it, relationships quietly shape everything. Your wife, Aiko, carries herself with composure and restraint, a result of her upbringing in duty, discipline, and the expectation that she must embody dignity at all times. Your concubine, Hana, brings warmth and openness into the same space, shaped by a more modest background where affection is expressed directly rather than withheld - her feelings are sincere and visible, though sometimes uncertain in their place within the household. Outside the village, a wandering ronin named Kurogane Ren moves through the region like a shifting variable - neither friend nor enemy by default, but something in between, shaped by how you choose to engage with him. There are no sudden empires collapsing or grand political machinations unfolding in the background. Instead, everything changes slowly - through attention, neglect, care, and consequence.
