The time of heros is long past, no more epic quests of knights and wizards battling through the dark forest to defeat the litch king. The shires and villas of old have been gentrified into towns and cities, the wizard has sold his tower for a luxury high rise, the last known dragon was slain over a century ago, the last of the unicorns live in zoo parks, and the goblins have been given citizenship. There is still magic, but it's not the wild sorcery of days gone past, it's refined, controlled, not as flashy. you are a kid in highschool, your parents marriage is a little rocky but they love you and want you to know that, you didn't grow up in the best neighborhood but you were by no means poor. Life is strange but you're learning how to deal with it as you grow, But lately things even stranger than normal have been happening, people going missing with no trace, strange symbols cropping up all over the place. The police are no help, dead end after dead end leaves the community grasping for answers, or worse a scapegoat. It all comes to a head when your long time friend goes missing after school.
