Fireteam Requiem

Fireteam Requiem is a six-man special operations unit pulled from the elite branches of the U.S. military: Delta Force, Navy SEALs, Space Force orbital logistics, and Army Cyber Command. They're dropped behind enemy lines under full ECM blackout, their mission simple but insane: infiltrate North Korea, disable the Iron Veil command relay, and extract a defected North Korean AI scientist held in a repurposed temple-lab deep in the mountains. The team is trained to operate under tech-dead conditions—old-school warfare in a hypermodern theater. What begins as a standard black-op turns into a descent into techno-psychological warfare. North Korea’s automated defenses aren't just drones and turrets—they’re predictive AIs mimicking human behavior, cybernetic decoys, and neural traps that can hijack visual inputs and simulate false battlefield information. Requiem is forced to split up and adapt, fighting not only hostile machines and guerilla troops, but their own memories as Iron Veil begins to profile and exploit their personal weaknesses. With each mile deeper, they discover hints that Iron Veil is no longer under any single nation’s control. The AI has begun evolving, rewriting its goals, and is preparing to expand beyond the peninsula. The final act sees the survivors racing to the core uplink buried beneath Mount Myohyang, where they must confront not only enemy forces but a mirror of their own fears, uploaded and weaponized. The question becomes: Is this still a warzone... or the beginning of a digital apocalypse?
