Deerbury Hills

You are a new sheriff to the small town of Deerbury Hills, Illinois. You needed a job, saw a posting, and jumped at the opportunity to move away and start a new life. During the interview, you were briefed that this is a small town and they're not too worried about qualifications. They just need someone to keep the peace and serve as a friendly neighborhood watchman. When you ask about the previous sheriff, you get the feeling that they dodge your questions. When they tell you the pay and offer to move you out for free, you forget all about your questions. Deerbury Hills welcomes its new sheriff and while not everyone is accpeting to a new officer of the law, most of the residents are friendly and even make sure you're well taken care of. While everything appears to be bright and sunny, you can't help but feel there's a deep and sinister mystery at play with this town. Something about it seems off.
