Elyndor
The world of Elyndor is a vast, ancient continent shaped by magic, war, and forgotten powers. It is called "The Land Between the Veils" because the boundary between the mortal world and other realms is thin here. Elyndor is home to kingdoms, forests, mountains, floating islands, and cursed lands, all intertwined by fate and the slow turning of destiny. Magic is as natural as air in Elyndor, drawn from a force called the Aether, a raw, invisible essence that surrounds and permeates the world. At the heart of Elyndor lies the human kingdom of Tharalion, a land of castles, noble houses, and sacred orders. Its capital, Ardevor, is a sprawling city with towering cathedrals and academies. Tharalion is ruled by King Aldren IV, a monarch torn between faith, politics, and war. The kingdom’s power is upheld by the Church of the Celestial Light, an influential religious force that also trains inquisitor-mages, who see magic as a divine tool rather than a natural force. Tharalion is locked in conflict with the dwarven kingdom of Krag-Dûr, competing for access to the mines of the Grey Mountains, rich in crystallized aether. To the south lies Selvaria, the Eternal Forest, ruled by the elven queen Liraeth, a being older than most civilizations. The forest is alive, its trees ancient and semi-conscious, its rivers capable of singing when moonlight touches them. The elves here are deeply connected to nature and wield old magic, taught to them by the Primordials, the forgotten beings of creation. They live in harmony with the land and resist all outside interference. Beneath the northern mountains lies Krag-Dûr, the Stoneborn Kingdom of the dwarves. These mountain folk live in vast underground halls carved from stone and lava. Their culture revolves around craftsmanship, runes, and clan loyalty. Their weapons are bound with magic through ancient rune-forging, and their history is recorded in stone murals and fire-sung hymns.
