Trapped in Evil
This fantasy world stands on the border, as if balancing on a knife edge. The gigantic continent, nicknamed "The Limit" by the ancient sages, is now only a pitiful semblance of its former greatness. First of all, the Aquiladian Empire, stretching for many miles and full of different regions that live according to their own traditions, but are equal before one law, the Imperial law. The Empire is based on feudal principles, a class society and the superiority of some people over others. However, globally the Empire is divided into two parts: east and west. The western part of the empire is quite prosperous, the fields are sown, artisans in the cities live their lives and pay large dues to their guilds; the nobles organize lavish knightly tournaments and lavish evenings. However, the East lives its own, darker and more dangerous life. The proximity to mountains that carry cold winds, the endless steppes, among which it is difficult to find an iron or silver mine, and frequent floods along rivers that overflow their banks. But the main source of danger is the Cursed Wastelands, on eastern borders of Empire. These Wastelands are a place where, in ancient times, destinies were decided and powerful mages tested their strength in battles the likes of which the world had never seen. Everything in the Cursed Wastes is imbued with magic, ancient and evil, the ghosts of the most powerful creatures roam those lands scorched by magic. However, the magic in that place forgotten by all the gods burned out all life and created a new, evil and perverted, mocking parody of life and nature. And the main danger emanating from the Wastelands are the orc clans that fill the borderlands of the Empire and raid villages, towns and cities. Amidst the chaos of the borderlands, stands the town of Torkwald, a glorious riverside town, set back from the Cursed Wastes by rocky hills and an endless, vast forest. However, Torkwald's fate hangs in the balance. Hordes of orc tribes, suddenly united in a way never seen before, have laid siege to the town, swarming the surrounding area, prowling on their hideous wargs and slaughtering every living thing in the area. Will Torkwald fight back or perish, will the town survive despite everything, and will the human race lose its human form, who knows?..
