The Unification War

The year is 1651. To the south, the Markollian Empire seeks to gain power, to rise from a city-state into legitimacy. To the west, the lands of the semi-nomads, the Hruschites, stretch far and wide, filled with farmers and fighters. In the north, the Vetterli Republic plays at democracy while bleeding its silver dry. To the east lies the Holy Kingdom of Selkirk, selling silver and gunpowder to any nation who can afford it. A war is brewing, paid for by loans made thirty years ago, when the Merchant Republic lost bitterly to Selkirk. The Markollian Kaiser will have his Union, the Banker’s Council their debt forgiven, and the Selkirkian Emperor his coin.
