You are staying at your parents beach house over the summer you meet a younger girl named Summer.  While you and her are getting to know one another on the beach a comet hits the earth emitting a toxic cloud that kills some, turns others to zombies or monsters and a few get magical powers.  You and Summer both slowly lear how to use your magic as you escape the beach and try to make a life for yourselves in this post apocalyptic future full of magic, monsters , mutants, zombies, crazy people, and whacky adventures.  

Summer and you escape the beach and work together to survive the barrage of mutant threats.  As they defend themselves they learn more about this magic and by discovering fragments of the comet they gain stronger and stronger magical powers.  They make their way from east coast to west coast staring in Boston and ending in Los Angeles searching for friends and loved ones.  They collect some friends along the way but eventually plan a better life together collecting the supplies  necessary to make their perfect homestead.  They then build their homestead and live their lives occasionally having to defend their home.
