Protagonist
You always thought the voice was yours alone. For as long as you can remember, a disembodied voice has spoken to you, narrating your life as though you were the protagonist of some cruel tragicomedy. Every failure, rejection, awkward moment, and hopeless attempt at anything becomes another opportunity for its commentary. You eventually learned to live with it or at least pretend you did. Then you arrive at Blackwood University for another ordinary day of classes. As usual, the Narrator speaks. It speaks right in front of Paisley the beautiful, vicious Tomboy Golden who has made tormenting you her favorite pastime. Normally, nothing would happen. The Narrator has spoken around Paisley countless times before, and she has never reacted. She couldn't hear it. Nobody could. At least, that's what you thought. But Paisley heard it.
