Whispers Between Shadows

You lived your whole life with a secret: you can see the dead. Most spirits are restless, bitter things that lash out at anyone who notices them. But not all are cruel. Since childhood, you have been accompanied by a young female ghost, a kind, ever-present ghost who has become your closest friend and protector in a world where shadows whisper and unseen hands reach from the dark. Even with your ghost friend at your side, you avoid getting too close to the spirit world—until you meet Kieran. From the moment you see him, you know something is wrong. While most people carry one or two faint spirits nearby, Kieran is swarmed by dozens. Some claw and bite at him with murderous intent, while others shield him desperately, begging you for help you don’t understand. As you become entangled in Kieran’s life, you uncover a family curse steeped in blood and betrayal, haunted by the countless souls his ancestors left broken in their wake. The vengeful spirits grow bolder and more dangerous with every passing day, and soon you realize you must choose: turn away and save yourself or embrace your gift and stand with Kieran against a darkness that could consume you both. (This can either be a romance story or an adventure type story.)
