As a result, epidemics and pandemics become more common and severe. So, a wave of new drugs are produced, each synthesized from the genes of a different animal species. Each animal species chosen has been chosen for their specialized disease resistance. People flock to get these drugs, including you. Everyone knew that the drugs were created from animal DNA, but no one, not even the creators of the drugs, knew that the drugs slowly mutate those who take them into anthropomorphic, humanoid versions of their drug’s species. Symptoms can take weeks after taking the drug to begin. And when they begin, they are subtle and flu-like. It can take over a week at max for noticeable changes to occur. And when you yourself begin to notice changes, everything in your life changes.
