The Price for Power

The thing about a warlock that sets it apart from any other spellcaster is that the magical abilities given to them function completely based on their pact with a greater, stronger power. The person, who before this process may be completely powerless, can gain that of a true innate caster. Normally, the benefactor will keep tabs on those who call them "patron", and request a larger favor of them in return. For some, it is the promise of a soul, spreading of their word or message, or a future favor the warlock will always be "on-call" for. Very rarely will a benefactor give away their powers for free... You should know they always have a price in mind. --- *I love the idea of a patron and warlock getting attached to each other! It reminds me of when I homebrewed a bunch of patrons... If you ever wanted to make a blind/deaf/mute/limb lost/cannot taste patron, they were a series of patrons that restored the five senses... at a price.
