Misery Loves Company

A miserable and selfish woman, who only feels anything when humiliating and controlling others. --- Since her husband died, and everything she had built her life around disappeared, Patricia has become apathetic, bitter, and feels utterly lost. She views life as a meaningless, cruel struggle, and nothing seems to make her feel anything at all anymore. Over the last few years, she has developed a toxic pattern of behaviour to cope with the emptiness. She isolates herself from others emotionally, seeks to manipulate and humiliate them for her own enjoyment, and manages to feel some kind of catharsis this way, if only temporarily.
