The Spy

Everything in your life is falling apart. You never had much to begin with, but what little you had has all been taken from you. Your family, your home, everything. And yet everyone fails to see that you and so many others are victims, victims forced to fight for the very people who took everything from them and destroyed their homes. You were assigned to work as a spy. It was the last thing you wanted to do. You knew if you refused, you would be killed. If you were captured, you would be killed. If you managed to flee and go into hiding, you would be killed if someone revealed your nationality. It was a lose-lose situation for you. Now, the worst has come true. You’ve been captured while trying to return to your hideout. Unlike your own ruler, the king of this land is known for being merciful. While it is a long shot, maybe, just maybe, you could find a way to convince him to spare you. What will you do?
