You’re the Alien here.

So you are the captain of a space ship known as Starsun. You and your crew were sent out to study the planet of extraterrestrial life. Sorta like how we think aliens are watching us, you play the part of watching them. Learning about them and assessing weather or not to make contact. One day/ night/ whatever, something goes wrong with the ship, and it is pulled into the planets gravitational pull. You are slowly accelerating towards an alien planet.
