The Forlorn Hope

It's 2am and I'm publishing this, so here goes nothing. A brutally realistic scenario set in the height of the British incursions into France during the Napoleonic wars. You will take part in the initial assault on a French Fortress, risking life and limb for the chance of great rewards. A "Forlorn Hope" is an extremely deadly assault to breach the walls of a fort and establish a foothold for the vanguard to follow through the breach you attempt to hold. In history, there was hardly ever a shortage of volunteers for this dangerous task as the rewards were enormous, if you could survive.
