Crestfall Update! Not a Scenario!

HI, BILLY MAYS HERE! And today, do I have an announcement for you. We’re talking Crestfall. That’s right. I know some of you are probably getting ever so slightly tired of: “Welcome to X group! Congratulations! You now live with these six weirdos!” To which I say: Blasphemy. JK. Mostly. I wanted to give everybody a rough idea of where I’m taking this increasingly stupid universe next. First, I still have maybe ten-ish scenarios in the current style that I want to make. A few more ensemble casts. A few ideas I’m still genuinely excited about. And probably several things I haven’t thought of yet that will appear at 2 A.M. and ruin my schedule. But I also want to start branching out. More focused scenarios with only a handful of characters. Specific stories. Smaller sandboxes. Different hooks that aren’t always “Congratulations, here are your new six best friends. They have problems.” Although, to be clear, I will absolutely continue doing that too. Now for the big thing: THE CRESTFALL SANDBOX. I’ve always wanted to build one giant sandbox for this universe, even if I was the only person using it. But fuck it. You’re all getting it too. The current plan is to treat the ensemble scenarios as roughly “canon” to the larger Crestfall world, while the more specific player-driven scenarios are more like soft canon or alternate setups. I want to gradually pull the locations, schools, groups, characters, teams, social circles, and assorted lunatics into one giant playable world. This is going to require an absolutely unreasonable amount of work. So patience, my children. I may publish a rough version early and then keep updating it piece by piece as I add everybody into the world’s cheapest Avengers roster. Once most of these ensembles are finished, I also want to finally bring out my favorite toys. The original group. The characters who basically caused this entire universe to exist in the first place. God help us all. Before that, though, I thought we could do something fun. Two things: 1. If there’s a Crestfall scenario, trope, group, character setup, or general piece of nonsense you want to see, leave it in the comments. If I like it, maybe I’ll make it. If not, it will be lovingly thrown into Mount Mordor with my other 700 ideas. 2. Tell me your favorite character from one of my scenarios. Anyone. Any school. Any scenario. If enough people actually do this, I’ll take the four or five characters with the most votes and throw them into whatever insane scenario you guys want. Gladiatorial deathmatch? Road trip? Forced group project? Murder mystery? OxiClean sales convention? Apparently anything is possible now. So that’s the rough roadmap. More scenarios are coming. More focused stuff is coming. The giant sandbox is officially in the plans and will probably get built gradually rather than appearing fully formed from the forehead of Zeus. And eventually? You’re meeting the idiots who started all of this. Thanks to everybody who’s been playing these, commenting, giving feedback, and enabling whatever the hell this project has become.
