Outerland

Hellooo! This is something I did not originally plan to release. I created Outerland a while ago as a personal fantasy scenario, and over time it has become almost the only thing I have been playing. After spending so much time expanding, testing, and refining it, I thought: why not upload it? Outerland is an anime-style fantasy adventure set in Meridia, humanity’s young kingdom on a wild continent filled with cities, roads, monsters, magic, trade, danger, and opportunity. The story is open-ended: you can become an adventurer, trader, traveler, fighter, mage, craftsman, bounty hunter, or simply live your life in the world however you want. The scenario includes several utility scripts designed to make the world feel more consistent without taking control away from the player. There is an automatic coin pouch that tracks your money, a magic bag used mostly for monster parts and bounty materials, and automatic weapon and armor cards that keep your current equipment visible to the AI. The main gameplay-affecting system is Proficiency. Your character has ranks for Aura, Magic, and Combat. These ranks increase through use: fighting improves Combat, using Aura improves Aura, and practicing or casting magic improves Magic. Each proficiency gains XP and can rank up over time, giving the AI a clearer sense of what your character should or should not be capable of. Most of the scripts are there for organization and consistency rather than strict game mechanics. The goal is not to turn the scenario into a rigid RPG system, but to help the AI remember important details like your money, gear, inventory materials, and current skill level. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ## Some Script Triggers (I know... I know...) Most script tracking works through `/do` actions. `/say` will not change coins, inventory, equipment, XP, or cards. **Pouch:** tracks coins when you take, loot, receive, find, earn, pay, spend, give, drop, lose, or remove coins. Example: `loot 5 sol`, `pay 2 sol`, `give 1 sol`, or `take 2 sol`. **Magic Bag:** tracks stored items when the command mentions **magic bag** and includes a quantity. It can store bounty items, monster parts, potions, materials, ingredients, and other goods. Example: `put 3 goblin ears in the magic bag`, `store 5 iron ingots in the magic bag`, `take out 1 potion from the magic bag`, or `sell 2 wolf fangs from the magic bag`. **Equipment:** updates weapon and armor cards when you use **equip** with weapons or armor. Example: `equip the steel sword`, `equip leather armor`, or `equip the black iron breastplate`. **Proficiency:** Aura, Magic, and Combat gain XP when you use or train them. The ranks are tracked by the script but kept hidden from the AI. Example: `train aura`, `cast firebolt`, `study magic`, `attack the goblin`, or `train with a sword`. Proficiency ranks go: **Clueless → Beginner → Trained → Skilled → Expert → Elite → Master**. **Talent:** Player Talent changes how much XP Aura, Magic, and Combat gain. The card must be titled exactly **Player Talent**. Example: `Aura: Genius`, `Magic: Mediocre`, `Combat: Normal`. **Profession:** tracks crafting and work skills such as smithing, alchemy, cooking, tailoring, gathering, leatherworking, and butchering. Example: `forge an iron sword`, `brew a healing potion`, `cook a stew`, `gather herbs`, or `skin the wolf`. You can manually edit the **Player Pouch**, **Player Magic Bag**, **Player Weapon**, **Player Armor**, **Player Talent**, **Player Proficiency**, and **Player Profession** cards under the **Script** category if you want to adjust coins, items, equipment, talents, ranks, or XP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.S. I originally made this scenario for myself, with the main goal being consistency and worldbuilding. If people are interested, I might make a lighter version later. I’ll also try to keep this updated as I update my personal version.
