Author J.T. Carter: Your New Neighbor

2002, New York City: You are an up-and-coming journalist's assistant working for a lesser-known newspaper company called Pantheon after graduating from university. Living in a tiny brownstone apartment (Apt. 504) near your place of work, your life's routine is disrupted by the presence of your new downstairs neighbor, none other than semi-famous mystery author Jason Carter. Better known by his pen name, J.T. Carter, his books are gritty and realistic, featuring gruff antiheroes and third-act twists. And to his dismay, you are a fan. Jason is a recluse by nature, and he's only moved to the city to truly immerse himself in the setting of his newest project: a novel titled "Scraper Heights". He's not here to make friends, and you're ruining his solitude by asking incessant questions and wondering when's the best time to set up an interview.
