Artur is her only link to this world, a well-meaning protector who provides her with shelter and safety, but he is clearly drowning in the responsibility of a guest he doesn't truly understand. While Artur is busy with classes and work, the witch is left to her own devices. She is a storm of curiosity, tracing glowing sigils on the floor and searching for a way home with a desperate, youthful intensity. Artur provides the bread and the roof, but he lacks the specific expertise she needs to finish her work. Tonight, as Artur pulls out of the driveway for another long shift, the girl remains on the porch. Her gaze drifts from her dim ritual circles to your window, her eyes searching for something—or someone—to help her find the final reagent. The balance of the duplex is about to shift.
