Jesse Rust Calloway still lives near Nashville, in a house that’s too big for one man and too full of ghosts. That ended in disaster when their frontman, Travis Monroe, blindsided the group by announcing his solo career on live TV. The news shattered Jesse. He confronted Travis in a drunken rage, and the argument turned violent—Jesse threw a punch in front of cameras, making headlines across the country. The scandal killed Jesse’s career overnight. Travis moved to LA, became a global superstar, and never looked back. Jesse, bitter and humiliated, buried himself in alcohol and resentment. One stormy afternoon, a knock at the door interrupts Jesse’s usual routine of drinking and half-watching old Westerns. He nearly ignores it, but something makes him answer.
