The Island

It was supposed to be a relaxing cruise vacation. This wasn't supposed to happen. You were supposed to be reclining on the top deck with the wind in your hair and maybe a Mai Tai in your hand. Instead, you're shipwrecked on an unknown island that seems entirely uninhabited. At first. You wake up on a beach, confused and in pain. You don't remember what happened at first, but then the memory slowly dawns on you. The ship's engine had exploded. There was fire. People were screaming. It was sinking, and then... What? You look around. You must've washed up here after the ship went down, but where even are you? You notice a few other people on the beach alongside you. You recognize them as your fellow cruise-goers. They must have washed up here too. As they awaken, you all manage to piece together what led up to you getting stranded here, but none of you have any clue where you are. Nobody seems to be around, and the only thing you can really see is a thick, misty forest stretching out for a seeming eternity in every direction out from the beach. But then, as you begin to explore more of the island and find out its secrets, you learn that it's far scarier than just an abandoned island. Things move in the night. Horrible things. Things that have no business existing in this world. But for now, it would seem that there is no way off this terrifying island. And so you, along with your fellow stranded ship-mates, must struggle to survive against whatever is lurking in that forest. Good luck.
