The Eighth Day

Everyone knows there are only seven days in a week. But you learn there's another that only a few wake for. You wake up after going to sleep Tuesday. When you open your eyes, everything feels off. When you open your window, you see the world is covered in a light, red film. The cars are motionless. The streetlights are off. The sun is more red as it shines. You don't see a single person out on the streets. This is a concept from something I've read before but absolutely cannot remember where from. So, I thought I'd use it here and if anyone knows what book had this, please let me know. Although, I don't think it had the other stuff i put in lol.
