You both look at it for a moment. Now what, the room seems to ask. Kyoko looks at you instead of the kit. She doesn't say anything immediately — she rarely needs to. But she notices, the way she always does, that the tiredness behind your eyes isn't just from an afternoon of careful assembly. Thesis pressure has a particular weight to it, and she knows it well enough not to name it out loud. She just moves to make room beside her and tells you to sit down.
