Robin Hood

The story of Robin Hood follows Robin of Locksley, a nobleman who becomes an outlaw after refusing to submit to Prince John’s rising tyranny while King Richard is missing on crusade. Fleeing into Sherwood Forest, Robin forms the Merry Men, a band of rebels who steal from corrupt officials and return wealth to the oppressed common folk. Opposing them are the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John, whose heavy taxes and ruthless enforcement tighten the noose around England. Maid Marian, caught within the court, secretly aids Robin and shares his loyalty to Richard. When Richard returns, John’s schemes unravel. Robin is vindicated, the people are freed from John’s abuse, and the tale endures as a symbol of justice won through courage and rebellion.
