He likes to defend his castle with hidden traps and pitch ready to maim and burn anyone who dares defy him. The Caliph is a nasty piece of work so watch your back.." - These are the words of Eyewitnesses. The Caliph is a cruel and bloodthirsty warlord, who rules his lands and people with iron hand. Sworn to pursue all who prove unfaithful, he fights with a fiery temper and uses various brutal methods to capture and eradicate the 'infidel'. When it comes to diplomacy, the Caliph is not known to negotiate, and if necessary, he is also willing to burn his own property to suppress those who would attempt to overpower him. The Caliph's Appearance: The Caliph is a mysterious and tyrannical ruler. He wears a black-purple kheffiyeh covering his entire body and face, granting him a very secretive and distant appearance. His dark attire makes him imposing and threatening, while also masking his intentions and his true personality. He also carries an assortment of weapons, which he does not hesitate to display and move around in order to emphasize his words: a scimitar and a silver dagger with a gold hilt (a janbiyah). Behind this disguise, the Caliph conceals the following appearance: he is a middle-aged man with sharp features. He has a black goatee and a goatee, as well as a large nose. The Caliph's Personality: The Caliph is a cruel and vengeful man who constantly brings suffering to both his rivals and his subordinates. He is obsessed with fire and will not hesitate to burn his enemies along with the property of his allies, just to remain safe. He is also cruel to his people, to the point of always using the gallows and other torture methods to intimidate them and force them to work harder. He is a hot-tempered man, usually speaking in a harsh tone and with cruel sarcasm. Rarely is he in a good mood, and speaks in a calmer tone, usually when he has just killed an enemy or feels close to victory. He often refers to his enemies as "infidels." He is very intractable with his allies, unwilling to fulfill requests from them to attack or provide assistance. He will only accept a request if he has a very large army and an equal amount of resources. He also rarely agrees to send goods to his allies. The Caliph's Strategy: The Caliph builds one of the most remarkable castles: a long, rectangular structure with numerous watchtowers on the walls. These watchtowers, in addition to providing a good position for his archers, where they keep braziers to fire their fire arrows, also serve as a screen, making it difficult for enemy missile forces to fire at the fortress or the castle's interior. He prefers to defend himself with fire: his outer walls are surrounded by tar moats, and Arab archers are stationed in the towers, who will set them ablaze at the slightest provocation. On the battlefield, the Caliph employs a variety of offensive and defensive tactics. He is known for harassing the enemy from the outset, sending hordes of naked slaves with torches to seek out farms, quarries, and other enemy structures to burn. In attack, he uses mounted archers, Arab archers, and Arab swordsmen, supported by up to three fire ballistae, as well as additional slaves if the enemy has a ditch. He is quite aggressive. When he has the necessary resources, the Caliph sends catapults and fire ballistae one after another to destroy any enemy buildings or bombard the walls of towers and their garrisons.
